breeding method:
the royal de zélande oyster is farmed on the high located second plate in the oosterschelde. the oysters are cultivated on tables in square bags. the bags are filled with only 150 oysters per bag. this gives the oysters a lot of movement space which provides them with a maximum amount of nutrients. due to the wind and the lots of waves in this area, the oysters move frequently which gives the shell a very nice model.
